Vodafone Business Broadband Features

Intelligent WiFi

Vodafone’s business broadband service comes with Intelligent WiFi. This is designed to continuously optimise the performance of your business Wi-Fi network. It does this through the use of automatic channel optimisation and beamforming using the 7 built-in Wi-Fi antenna.

According to Vodafone, the Intelligent WiFi feature should give “all your devices the fastest, most-reliable connection”.

Unlimited Data

You’ll get unlimited data included on your Vodafone business broadband service. This means you can download, stream, and video call as much as you like without needing to worry about how much data you’re using.

Vodafone Broadband Router & App

You’ll get Vodafone’s latest Wi-Fi Hub router when you sign up for their business broadband service. This is a powerful router that supports dual-band Wi-Fi, including Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) technology. The router also comes with 4 Gigabit Ethernet sockets, allowing you to connect wired devices to your business network.

Once you’ve set up Vodafone’s business broadband service, you can use the Vodafone Broadband app to manage your broadband connection and Wi-Fi network. For instance, you’ll be able to prioritise certain devices on your network. You’ll also be able to set up a guest Wi-Fi network, allowing you to share your connection with others whilst keeping them separate from your own devices (important for keeping your data safe and secure).

Free Static IP Address

A static IP address can be an important feature if you’re running your own server (such as an FTP, VPN, email or web server). If you have an on-site CCTV system with remote access, it may also be necessary to have a connection with a static IP address.

On Vodafone’s business broadband service, you’ll have a dynamic IP address by default. However, you’ll be able to request a static IP address to be assigned to your connection at no extra cost.

Business Broadband Pro

If you’re looking for a little bit more from your business broadband service, you can upgrade to Vodafone’s Business Broadband Pro service. This gives you three additional benefits:

  1. Wall-to-wall WiFi coverage with Mesh Super WiFi. With Vodafone’s Business Broadband Pro, you’ll get Mesh Super WiFi. This extends the range of the WiFi network through your workplace using Vodafone’s clever mesh Super WiFi boosters. It gives you a single WiFi network so there are no additional passwords required and you can get up to three extenders at no extra cost.
  2. Stay online with unlimited 4G Backup. On Business Broadband Pro, you’ll get unlimited 4G broadband backup. Should your fibre broadband connection go down for any reason, you’ll automatically be switched over to Vodafone’s 4G network. This will keep your business connected whilst the fault with your fibre broadband service is resolved.
  3. Expert business broadband support. Customers with Business Broadband Pro will have access to dedicated business support from Vodafone. This involves a dedicated UK-based team who will proactively monitor and fix issues with your connection.

Switching to Vodafone Business Broadband

If you’re switching your broadband provider to Vodafone Business, it’s a straightforward process to do this.

Start by ordering your new business broadband plan online. When you do this, you’ll be given the option to keep your current landline number or you can get a new one from Vodafone.

During the online order process, you’ll be able to choose your broadband activation date (this will typically be around 2-3 weeks after you place your order online).

In most cases, Vodafone will automatically contact your old broadband provider to cancel the old service for you. However, if you’re a Virgin Media customer, you’ll need to contact them separately to cancel your old service.
