Lycamobile Bundles
In the UK, Lycamobile offers low-cost Pay As You Go bundles with access to 4G & 5G coverage on the EE network. With their Pay As You Go bundles, there’s no contract and no credit check needed, unlike on the Pay Monthly plans.
Monthly Bundles
Most Lycamobile customers choose to buy a 30-day bundle. As this is a Pay As You Go product (pre-paid), there’s no contract and no credit check needed. Your bundle will come with an inclusive allowance of UK minutes, UK texts, UK data, and international minutes.
As a special offer for November 2025, there are some special offers available when you order a new Lycamobile SIM card. This includes a 50% discount on your plan for the first 3 months. It means you can get the following Lycamobile bundles from just £2.50 per month:
| Network | Data | Monthly Cost | |
|---|---|---|---|
Offer ends 2nd Dec | 5GB data | £2.50 for 3 months, then £5 per month 1 month rolling | See deal |
Offer ends 2nd Dec | 30GB data | £5.00 for 3 months, then £10 per month 1 month rolling | See deal |
Offer ends 2nd Dec | 50GB data | £7.50 for 3 months, then £15 per month 1 month rolling | See deal |
Offer ends 2nd Dec | 100GB data | £10.00 for 3 months, then £20 per month 1 month rolling | See deal |
Offer ends 2nd Dec | Unlimited data | £12.50 for 3 months, then £25 per month 1 month rolling | See deal |
All of these deals are only available when you order your bundle online – it isn’t possible to get them in-store, by phone, or by text message. Your bundle will come on a new Lycamobile SIM card or eSIM.
National Bundles (For Existing Customers)
If you’re topping up an existing Lycamobile SIM card, you’ll be able to choose from their standard range of bundles (either a national bundle or an international bundle).
The national bundles will give you the largest allowance of UK data, plus some UK minutes, UK texts and 100 international minutes. At present, these are available from £5 per month:
| Network | Data | Monthly Cost | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5GB data | £5.00 per month No contract | See deal |
| 30GB data | £10.00 per month No contract | See deal |
| 50GB data | £15.00 per month No contract | See deal |
| 100GB data | £20.00 per month No contract | See deal |
| Unlimited data | £25.00 per month No contract | See deal |
For the biggest allowance of data, it’s always best to buy your bundle online through the Lycamobile website. If you buy your bundle in a shop, by phone call or by text message, you may get a reduced amount of data (known as the ‘offline’ allowance).
Sometimes, there will be discounts available for switching to a Lycamobile Pay Monthly plan. This can be a good option if you’re an existing Pay As You Go customer wanting to reduce the cost of your plan. At the time of writing, customers moving to a Pay Monthly plan can get up to 6 months half price on a new Pay Monthly plan.
International Bundles
Lycamobile’s international bundles are also worth considering, if you need a larger amount of international minutes. Their ‘All in One’ bundles start from £9.90 per month with 6GB of UK data included:
| Network | Data | Monthly Cost | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6GB data | £9.90 per month No contract | See deal |
| 50GB data | £15.00 per month No contract | See deal |
| 100GB data | £20.00 per month No contract | See deal |
Some of the international bundles will give you an additional roaming data allowance for use in countries like China, India and Turkey. There are also some specialist international bundles for calling countries such as Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, and Pakistan. You can find these listed in the ‘International plans’ section of the Lyca Mobile website.

One thing worth noting is that Lycamobile often has special online-only promotions. With these promotions, you’ll get more data for the same price when you buy your bundle online through the Lycamobile website. For this reason, we’d normally recommend buying your bundle online, instead of buying it via phone call or text message.

The following table shows Lycamobile’s standard Pay As You Go rates:

Network & Coverage
In the UK, Lycamobile offers 4G & 5G coverage from the EE network. This gives you 99% population coverage on 4G, plus 5G coverage in more than 1,000 UK towns and cities.
Before you order a Lycamobile SIM card, it’s worth checking the coverage in your area. You can do this by entering your postcode on Lycamobile’s online coverage map:
Check Lycamobile Coverage (lycamobile.co.uk) →
Wi-Fi Calling and 4G Calling are also available on Lycamobile, providing you have a handset that’s compatible.
Prior to June 2023, Lycamobile offered coverage from the O2 network. Nowadays, all Lycamobile customers will receive coverage from EE instead. This is following their network coverage changes.
Keeping Your Phone Number
If you’re switching to Lycamobile from another UK network, it’s a straightforward process keeping your current phone number.
Start by ordering your new SIM from the Lycamobile website. Once you’ve done that, you can request a PAC Code from your old network. To do this, text PAC to 65075.
When your new Lycamobile SIM card or eSIM arrives, you’ll be able to fill out this online form to get your phone number moved over.
For step-by-step instructions on how to move your phone number to Lycamobile, please select your current mobile network from the dropdown menu below:
It isn’t possible to transfer Pay As You Go credit from another network to Lycamobile. For this reason, you should try to use up any remaining Pay As You Go credit before you move your phone number to Lycamobile.

Can you use your data when travelling in Europe?
I seem to be getting charged £54.95 every other month when I travel abroad and use my Sim card for roaming.
Ken replied:
Hi John,
Many thanks for your comment. Yes, all of the Lycamobile bundles come with an allowance of EU roaming data. As per why you are being charged £54.95 every other month, this is rather strange and I would recommend you double-check this with both Lyca Mobile and perhaps your bank as well. As their bundles work on a pre-paid basis, they wouldn’t be deducting money from your bank account automatically for roaming.
Hope this helps,
Ken

Hi Ken, I’ve discovered that Lycamobe now permit hot spot and tethering.see this FAQ section.
Can I share my device’s data connection through a personal hotspot or tethering?
Yes, Personal hotspots and tethering are methods of sharing your mobile device’s data connection with another device, like a laptop or games console. So, if you’re in an area with no Wi-Fi, but you have a 4G or 3G signal, you can use that signal to go online. If you do this frequently, we recommend you monitor your data usage by dialling *137# and follow the instruction.
A personal hotspot lets you share your device’s data wirelessly, so it’s also called ‘wireless tethering’ or a ‘Wi-Fi hotspot. Tethering lets you do the same thing, using a USB cable instead of a wireless connection. Iphone users may need to enter personal hotspot’s APN: data.lycamobile.co.uk under the setting.

Am UK based and was looking forward to using my Lycamobile SIM during multi country holiday (EU). Is true that you can use your data in EU countries but you seem to only be able to get an E speed connection (between 2g and 3g) so actually unusable for apps / web browsing / any normal type of phone usage. Spent nearly 4 weeks trying to get support for the ‘issue’ but concluded it’s actually by design rather than something that can be resolved. Back in UK immediately have 4g access again. Is cheap so fair enough but won’t expect to use next time I travel. Ended up buying local SIM which worked well (dual SIM phone). SMS and calls worked as expected.
