Lyca Mobile Pay Monthly Plans
In the UK, Lyca Mobile has launched a new range of Pay Monthly SIM cards. Available from just £4 per month, they’ll give you access to 4G & 5G coverage from EE, alongside a ‘price freeze promise’ until 2026, and the flexibility to switch plans at any time.
At present, there are four data plans you can choose from in Lyca Mobile’s Pay Monthly range:
- 5GB data: This is Lyca Mobile’s entry-level Pay Monthly plan. It’s ideal for light users who only need a small amount of data (e.g. because you’re mainly using wi-fi when you’re at home or in the office). This plan is available for just £4 per month on a 12-month contract (or £5 per month on a one-month rolling plan).
- 20GB data: This is Lyca Mobile’s best plan for the average mobile user. You’ll pay £8 per month for 20GB data on a 12-month contract (or £10 per month on a one-month rolling plan).
- 100GB data: If you’re a heavy user, Lyca Mobile is offering a massive 100GB of data for just £13 per month on a 12-month contract (or £15 per month on a one-month rolling plan).
- Unlimited data: If you want the reassurance that you’ll never run out of data, you can get unlimited data for £18 per month on a 12-month contract (or £20 per month if you choose a one-month rolling plan).
On all of these plans, you’ll get unlimited UK minutes and unlimited UK texts, along with an allowance of international minutes for calling 42 worldwide destinations. You’re also able to use your Pay Monthly plan at no extra cost when you’re abroad in EU destinations (subject to a fair use limit).
12 Month Plans
If you’re looking for the lowest possible price, it’s best to sign up on a 12-month contract with Lyca Mobile. When you choose a 12-month contract, you’ll pay as little as £4 per month. This can save you a significant amount of money, compared to the corresponding one-month plan.
You’ll still have the flexibility to change your plan each month, as long as you’re moving within Lyca Mobile’s 12-month range. For instance, you can move upwards to a plan with more data, or you can move downwards to a cheaper plan to save some money.
The following table shows Lyca Mobile’s 12-month SIM-only deals:

Lyca Mobile Pay Monthly Features
Price Freeze Promise
On all of Lyca Mobile’s new Pay Monthly plans, you’ll benefit from a ‘price freeze promise’. This is a promise from Lyca Mobile not to increase your monthly fees until at least 2026.
This is in contrast to many other mobile networks who have an annual price rise built in to their contracts. For instance, customers of major UK mobile networks saw an annual price increase of up to 17.3% on their mobile plans in 2023. On Lyca Mobile’s Pay Monthly plans, the monthly price is guaranteed to remain the same until at least 2026.
4G & 5G Coverage From EE
On Lyca Mobile, you’ll have access to 99% population coverage across the UK. This is powered by the EE network. In addition to their 4G coverage, there’s also 5G coverage available in more than 1,000 UK towns and cities (as long as you’re using a 5G-ready device).
If you’d like to check the coverage in your area before you order a Lyca Mobile SIM card, you can do this by entering your postcode on Lyca Mobile’s online coverage map.

Flexibility To Switch Plans
To get the lowest possible price, it’s best to sign up on a 12-month contract. However, unlike on many other 12-month contracts on the market, this is flexible so you can move upwards or downwards within Lyca’s 12-month range. For instance, you can upgrade your plan to get more data, or you can downgrade your plan to save some money. There are no early exit fees when you choose to change your plan and it doesn’t extend the term of your commitment.
Monthly Spend Cap
On all of Lyca Mobile’s Pay Monthly plans, you’ll be able to add a monthly spend cap. With this in place, there’ll be no need to worry about spending more than you want.
You can choose your Lyca Mobile spend cap when you order your plan online. Alternatively, you can set and amend your cap at any time using the Lyca Mobile website or app.
Keeping Your Phone Number
If you’re switching from another mobile network to one of Lyca Mobile’s Pay Monthly plans, it’s a straightforward process to keep your current phone number.
To start off, you should get a PAC Code from your old mobile network. This will be available through your mobile network’s website or app, or by texting PAC to 65075.
When you place your order for a new Pay Monthly plan on the Lyca Mobile website, you can give them the PAC Code upon sign up. You can also specify the date on which you’d like your phone number to be transferred. Alternatively, you can start off with a temporary phone number, before submitting your PAC Code through this page to complete the transfer.
For a step-by-step guide on how to transfer your phone number to Lyca Mobile, please select your current mobile network from the drop down menu below:
