Lyca Mobile Pay Monthly Features
Up To 3 Months Free
As a special offer in December 2024, you’re able to get:
- The first 3 months free when you sign up on a 24-month contract
- The first month free when you sign up on a 12-month contract
This offer can save you a substantial amount of money, compared to Lyca Mobile’s standard monthly price. For instance, if you were to sign up on their 24-month Unlimited plan (normally £18 per month), you’d save £54 over the first 3 months. Taking this into account, the average cost of your plan over the 24 months would be just £15.75 per month.
Price Freeze Promise
On many other mobile networks, the monthly price of your plan will go up every year. Depending on your network, this price rise might be linked to inflation, or there might be a fixed increase of up to £1.80 per month each year. To give an example, if you were to take out a mobile plan today costing £10 per month, it might increase to £13 per month or more in two years time.
On Lyca Mobile’s Pay Monthly plans, you’ll benefit from a “price freeze promise” until 2026. This means they’ll guarantee not to increase the price of your plan for the whole of the contract.
4G & 5G Coverage From EE
On Lyca Mobile, you’ll have access to 99% population coverage across the UK. This is powered by the EE network. In addition to the 4G coverage, there’s 5G coverage in more than 1,000 UK towns and cities (as long as you’re using a 5G-ready device).
If you’d like to check the coverage in your area before ordering a Lyca Mobile SIM card, you can do this by entering your postcode on Lyca Mobile’s online coverage map.

Monthly Spend Cap
You can add a spend cap to your Pay Monthly plan on Lyca Mobile. This is an optional limit on how much you’re able to spend on usage that’s outside of your plan’s standard allowances. It’s a helpful safety net that prevents unexpected charges, so there’s no need to worry about spending more than you want.
You can choose your spend cap when you order your plan online. Alternatively, it can be changed at any time through the Lyca Mobile website or app.
eSIM Ready
When you sign up for a Pay Monthly plan on Lyca Mobile, you’re given the option to choose between a Physical SIM card or eSIM.
If your smartphone supports eSIM technology, the “eSIM” option will allow you to get connected straight away. You’ll simply scan a barcode with your phone to get started, meaning there’s no need to wait for a physical SIM card to arrive in the post.
In addition, most eSIM-ready phones will allow you to have two phone numbers at the same time, as long as one of them is using eSIM technology. This means you can use your Lyca Mobile eSIM, alongside a SIM card from another network.
Most modern smartphones now support eSIM technology (including the iPhone 11 and later, the Galaxy S20 and later, and the Google Pixel 3 and later).
Keeping Your Phone Number
If you’re switching from another mobile network to one of Lyca Mobile’s Pay Monthly plans, it’s a straightforward process to keep your current phone number.
Start by getting a PAC Code from your old mobile network. This will be available through your mobile network’s website or app, or by texting PAC to 65075.
When you order your new Pay Monthly plan on the Lyca Mobile website, you’ll be able to give them the PAC Code when you sign up. You can also specify a date for when your phone number will be transferred. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can start off with a temporary phone number, before submitting your PAC Code at a later date to complete the transfer.
