England heads to North America with high expectations, after being drawn into Group L with Croatia, Ghana, and Panama. As one of the tournament favourites, the Three Lions are looking to finally ‘bring football home’, 60 years on from the 1966 triumph.
If they make it to the semi-final or beyond, you’ll get an extra £10 reward card to celebrate after the World Cup ends.

What’s Included On Sport Bundle?
Ultrafast M500 Fibre Broadband
Virgin Media’s Sport bundle comes with ‘M500 Fibre’ broadband. This has an average download speed of 516Mbps, which is about seven times faster than the UK’s average broadband connection.
According to Virgin, their M500 plan is designed for “super-connected homes”. There’s lots of bandwidth available for streaming, gaming and downloading, so everyone in your household can be online at the same time, with multiple devices connected without things slowing down. In fact, you’d be able to stream Ultra HD (4K) video on 20 devices at a time on this plan. That’s plenty, even if your entire family is streaming, snapping, and sharing your World Cup experience online.
You’ll also get a powerful WiFi Hub included, with Virgin Media’s Intelligent WiFi feature which continuously optimises your network.
Sky Sports HD Channels
Virgin Media’s Sport bundle comes with all of the Sky Sports channels included in HD quality. This means you can follow all of the live sporting action throughout the year, including Premier League football, Formula 1 racing, NFL, cricket, and more.
The following Sky Sports channels are included in the bundle:
- Sky Sports Main Event
- Sky Sports Premier League
- Sky Sports Football
- Sky Sports Cricket
- Sky Sports Golf
- Sky Sports F1
- Sky Sports NFL
- Sky Sports Arena
- Sky Sports News
- Sky Sports Mix
- Sky Sports+
There are also options available to upgrade your plan with the TNT Sports, Premier Sports, LFCTV and MUTV channels.
200+ TV Channels Including Sky Atlantic
You’ll get access to more than 200 live TV channels on Virgin Media, with the recent addition of Sky Atlantic from the 1st April 2026. Alongside that, you get lots of other entertainment channels (including Sky One, Sky Comedy and other Sky Entertainment channels), along with dramas, documentaries, history and more.
You’ll be able to watch all of these channels on your TV with the latest Virgin Media Stream box. This does not require an aerial or dish: simply plug it in to your TV, connect it to your home Wi-Fi, and you’re ready to watch. It’s also 4K (Ultra HD) ready, so you’ll be able to stream the World Cup in Ultra HD quality (where available).
If you’re watching TV on-the-go, you’ll be able to use the ‘Virgin TV Go’ app to watch on your smartphone, tablet or laptop.
Inclusive Netflix
As part of your Sport package, you’ll get a Netflix ‘Standard with Ads’ subscription included in the price (worth £5.99 per month).
With Netflix, you’ll be able to stream on-demand from their large catalogue of shows and movies. This is available on any compatible device, including on your TV, mobile phone, tablet, laptop and more.
O2 Priority
As a Virgin Media customer, you’ll get access to the O2 Priority app. This is exclusive to Virgin Media and O2 customers, and it gives you access to weekly discounts and offers (e.g. from brands like Greggs and Vue). You also get priority access at O2 entertainment venues, plus exclusive pre-sale tickets for thousands of gigs and events across the UK.
Volt Benefits
If you also have an O2 Pay Monthly SIM (or if you choose to add one to your order), you’ll unlock Volt customer benefits.
On your Virgin Media broadband, you’ll get:
- An upgrade to the next fastest available speed. So, for instance, the broadband speeds on your Sport bundle will be upgraded from M500 to Gig1 at no extra cost.
- A WiFi Guarantee with WiFi Max. This is a promise that you’ll get speeds of at least 30Mbps in every room of your home, or a £100 bill credit. You’ll also get plug-in WiFi Pods to boost the WiFi coverage in your home.
There are also benefits for your O2 Pay Monthly SIM:
- Roam at no extra cost in 75 destinations (including Canada, Mexico and the USA). If you’re travelling to see some of the World Cup in-person, there’s no extra cost to use your O2 SIM whilst you’re there. That’s because Volt customers get the O2 Travel Inclusive Zone bolt-on for inclusive roaming in 75 destinations including Canada, Mexico and the United States.
- Double data on your O2 SIM. As a Volt customer, you’ll get double data on all of your O2 Pay Monthly plans. If you’re on a plan with 250GB data or more, this will be upgraded to unlimited data.
