iD Mobile £15 Unlimited Data

If you’re comparing unlimited data plans to find the lowest monthly price in the UK, it’s likely that iD Mobile’s £15 unlimited data plan is currently the cheapest available option (excluding promotional offers such as half price for the first 3 months).

This £15 unlimited data plan is a “hidden deal” so you won’t find it when you go directly to the iD Mobile website. However, you can get it when you follow the link in the table below:

Here are the key things to know before you sign up for this deal:

  • It’s a 30-day rolling contract. This means you can change your plan or leave for another network by giving 30 days notice. You’ll still be liable for the £15 monthly fee over the 30-day notice period.
  • It’s a fixed price of £15 per month (no annual rises). Unlike some other networks, you won’t see annual price rises on iD Mobile’s SIM-only plans. There will, however, be an annual price rise if you choose a Pay Monthly phone contract on iD Mobile.
  • You can use 30GB data per month abroad at no extra cost in 50 destinations. This includes EU destinations, plus Azerbaijan, Belarus, Macedonia and Kazakhstan.
  • iD Mobile is part of Currys. They’ve been around since 2015 and now claim to have more than 2 million customers. This means they’re now a pretty large network, and a well-known brand. If you like, you can buy their plans on the high street (inside a Currys store), albeit it will cost you more than this exclusive £15 deal.
  • You’ll need to undergo a credit check to sign up. This means it isn’t quite as easy to sign up as getting unlimited data on Talkmobile, SMARTY or VOXI. On the other hand, you do get a slightly cheaper price in return.
  • You’ll get access to Three’s 4G & 5G network. Although this covers most of the country, there have historically been certain areas where Three’s mobile coverage is patchy (and by extension, iD Mobile’s coverage as well). On the contrary, the recent merger between Three and Vodafone means they have started to combine their mobile networks and as such, you’ll now be able to access the Vodafone network in some areas as well.

Fair Usage Policy

According to iD Mobile, there’s no fair use limit on their unlimited data plan and they do not apply throttling or traffic management to heavy users. However, their terms and conditions do state that it’s for personal use only so you aren’t able to use this plan for commercial purposes or otherwise.

If you’re travelling abroad to one of iD Mobile’s 50 inclusive roaming destinations, there’s a 30GB per month limit on how much data you can use at no extra cost when abroad. Above that, there’s normally a £3 per GB surcharge.  Having said that, the surcharge was temporarily suspended until further notice in October 2024. Therefore, you should double-check to see whether it will apply to your trip.

Network & Coverage

On iD Mobile’s £15 unlimited data plan, you’ll have access to 4G and 5G coverage from Three’s UK network. This equates to about 99% population coverage on 4G, plus 54% population coverage on 5G.

Although Three’s 5G network offers some of the highest average speeds, a key disadvantage is that they’ve historically had patchier coverage in some areas.

Having said that, the VodafoneThree merger in 2025 means that the two networks are gradually being combined into each other. In certain areas, this means iD Mobile customers are now able to connect to Vodafone’s network as well, giving a better experience compared to before.

If you’d like to check iD Mobile’s coverage in your area before you sign up, you can do this by entering your postcode on the iD Mobile website:

You’ll also get Wi-Fi Calling and 4G Calling included on iD Mobile. There’s more information about this on the iD Mobile website.

Keeping Your Phone Number

If you’re switching to iD Mobile’s unlimited data plan, it’s a straightforward process keeping your current phone number.

Start by requesting a PAC Code from your old mobile network. You can get one through your mobile network’s website or app, or by texting PAC to 65075. It’s always free to obtain a PAC Code and you should receive it within 60 seconds of your request.

Once you have the PAC Code from your old mobile network, you’ll be able to order your new £15 unlimited data plan from the the official iD Mobile website.

Once you’re happy to move your phone number over, submit your PAC Code through the iD Mobile website. Your phone number transfer will then normally take place on the next working day.
