Lebara Mobile Features

No Contract & No Credit Check

There’s no contract and no credit check on Lebara’s Black Friday deals. This gives you a lot of flexibility to change, pause or cancel your plan at any time.

In addition, as Lebara Mobile’s service works on a pre-paid basis, your monthly bill will be capped by default. This means you won’t be able to run up unexpected charges by mistake (you’ll need to top-up with additional credit for charges outside of your allowance).

If you choose one of Lebara Mobile’s 12-month plans, a 12-month commitment period will apply for this. However, the Black Friday offers are available on a 30-day rolling basis with no need to sign any contracts.

No Annual Price Rises

Lebara says there are no annual price rises built-in to their plan. This means you shouldn’t see an automatic increase to your phone bill next year, like you would on many other mobile networks.

In contrast, lots of other mobile networks have an annual price rise built-in to their plan, which can be as much as 3.9% above the rate of inflation. At the current rates of inflation, this is likely to result in a price increase of about 13% early next year on many other networks. This would be equivalent to a £1.30/month increase on a £10/month phone bill, and a £2.60/month increase on a £20/month phone bill.

Inclusive EU Roaming

If you’re travelling abroad to one of 41 European destinations, you’ll be able to use your Lebara Mobile plan allowances at no extra cost (up to a maximum of 30GB data per month).

In our opinion, the inclusion of free EU roaming is a significant benefit for customers on Lebara as many other mobile networks have now removed this from their plans.

In addition, you’ll also be able to use your mobile phone at no extra cost when you travel to India. This is subject to a fair usage limit of up to 10GB data, 200 outgoing minutes, 200 incoming minutes and 200 text messages per month.

4G & 5G Coverage From Vodafone

You’ll have access to Vodafone’s 4G and 5G network when you’re using a Lebara Mobile SIM card in your phone. This gives you access to 99% population coverage on 4G, along with 5G coverage in more than 100 UK towns and cities.

If you’re using Lebara’s 4G network, you can expect an average download speed of about 20Mbps. Meanwhile, if you’re using a 5G-ready phone in a 5G coverage area, you can expect download speeds that are around five to ten times faster (around 150-200Mbps on average).

Lebara Mobile also offers Wi-Fi Calling and 4G Calling if you’re using a mobile phone that’s compatible with the service.

International Calls

You’ll get an inclusive allowance of international minutes on your SIM-only deal from Lebara (100 international minutes per month on the £1.99 Black Friday SIM card). This will allow you to call 42 international destinations from your phone.

Keeping Your Phone Number

If you’re switching to Lebara Mobile from another mobile network, it’s a straightforward process keeping your current phone number.

Start by ordering your new SIM-only plan from the Lebara Mobile website. For instance, you can get their special Black Friday SIM with 8GB data for £1.99 per month for the first six months. Alternatively, Lebara’s other SIM-only plans are available with 3 months half price when you use the KEN3 voucher code at checkout.

Once you’ve ordered your new Lebara Mobile SIM card, you can get a PAC Code from your old network. Text PAC to 65075, or request a PAC Code through your mobile network’s website or app.

When your Lebara Mobile SIM card arrives in the post, you’ll be able to submit the PAC Code through this page on Lebara’s website. Lebara will then schedule the transfer of your phone number (normally for the next working day).
