In the UK, Virgin Media’s Bigger Sports Combo Bundle is one of the best value ways to follow live sporting action on your TV.

The Bigger Sports Combo Bundle is available from £65 per month on Virgin Media and gives you access to all of the Sky Sports channels in HD-quality. You’ll also get other premium TV channels included, along with the latest Virgin TV 360 box with a massive 1TB storage for your recordings. There’s also M250 Fibre Broadband included, giving you average download speeds of 264Mbps.

What is the Bigger Sports Combo Bundle?

In the UK, you can watch live sports on the Sky Sports and TNT Sports channels:

• On Sky Sports, you’ll be able to watch 128 live Premier League matches in the upcoming season. There’s also live EFL, Formula 1 racing, golf, international cricket, NFL, and more.

For access to both Sky Sports, you can get Virgin Media’s Bigger Sports Combo Bundle (sometimes also known as the Bigger Combo Bundle + Sports). This is available for just £65 per month.

You’ll get all of the following things included on Bigger Sports Combo Bundle:

• Access to all 8 Sky Sports channels in HD. This includes Sky Sports Premier League, Sky Sports Football, Sky Sports F1, Sky Sports Cricket, Sky Sports Golf, and more. You’ll normally pay £7 per month extra for Sky Sports in HD. However, this is currently included at no extra cost.
• 195+ channels on Virgin TV 360. This includes Sky Max, Sky Witness, Discovery, National Geographic, Comedy Central, and more. You can also pause, rewind and record live TV with enough storage for up to 500 hours of recordings on your box.

As of September 2023, the TNT Sports channels are no longer included in the Bigger Sports Combo deal. You’ll need to add the ‘TNT Sports Collection’ which costs an extra £18 per month on Virgin Media.

If you like, you can upgrade this to the Bigger Sports Combo Volt Bundle which is available for £69.99 per month. With the Volt Bundle, you’ll get an O2 SIM card for your mobile phone, with 10GB data per month. For a little bit extra, you can upgrade this again to Virgin Media’s Mega Volt bundle which costs £85 per month. With the Mega Volt Bundle, you’ll get an upgrade to Virgin Media’s M500 broadband. Comparison to Alternatives

At present, you can get Virgin Media’s Bigger Sports Combo Bundle for £65 per month. This includes M250 Fibre Broadband (with an average download speed of 264Mbps), along with Sky Sports in HD quality.

For comparison, you’ll pay £39 per month for Sky TV with Sky Sports. However, unlike on the deal from Virgin, this doesn’t come with broadband included. If you want a plan with Sky Broadband as well, you’ll need to pay at least £57 per month (this will give you an average download speed of 61Mbps).

On BT, you’ll pay £73.99 per month for the Fibre Essential + Big Sport plan. This comes with BT’s Fibre Essential broadband (with average download speeds of 36Mbps), along with Sky Sports and TNT Sports on BT TV. You’ll need to pay an extra £6 per month to upgrade to HD on BT TV.

Switching to Virgin Media
