Hello, I’m on orange and i changed my number to another orange number as i was receiving calls of unknown people i got told it would take “couple of hours” for the number to change from my side but it still hasn’t changed, how long does it usually take? And would I receive a sms to let me know its been changed?
Ken replied:
Hi AW,
Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, changing your phone number is an internal network process. For this reason, there isn’t an agreed service standard which applies to all companies across the industry. The only thing I can advise you to do is to contact Orange Customer Services on 150 (450 if you’re a Pay As You Go customer). They should be able to give you an update on this process.

I am trying to transfer my number from pay monthly to pay as you go on orange. Can this be done evened tho I have an outstanding balance but also they have given me a PAC CODE. Any help please??
Ken replied:
Hi Chris,
Thanks for your comment. As you’re moving from Orange Pay Monthly to Orange Pay As You Go, it’s not necessary to use a PAC Code. Instead, you should call Orange Customer Services on 150 (they should be able to change your account over manually without a PAC).
Hope this helps,
Ken

Hi ken thanks f,or you swift reply, they are saying this cannot be done until I pay them my outstanding balance today and then they will give them to me on a PAYG SIM but then they will charge me £800.
