Lebara Mobile is offering hidden 30-day SIM-only plans such as 5GB data for £2.50, 8GB data for £3.50 and 15GB data for £4.50 for the first 3 months.

In the UK, Lebara Mobile has released three new SIM-only deals, which are available on a 30-day rolling basis. Starting from £2.50 per month for the first 3 months, they’ll give you 4G & 5G coverage from Vodafone with no need for a contract or credit check.

Until the 30th April 2024, you can get 3 months half price on all of Lebara’s SIM-only deals when you use the KEN3 voucher code at checkout. This means you can get 5GB data for £2.50, 8GB data for £3.50 or 15GB data for £4.50 for the first 3 months. You’ll also get unlimited UK minutes, unlimited UK texts and 100 international minutes included with your plan.

In this article, we’ll look at Lebara Mobile’s new SIM-only deals including the 4GB plan, the 8GB plan and the 15GB plan. We’ll also look at the other features and benefits you’ll get included on Lebara’s SIM-only deals such as international roaming and international calls. We’ll then look at how you can keep your current phone number when switching to Lebara.

Best Lebara SIM Only Deals

In the UK, Lebara Mobile has introduced three new ‘hidden’ SIM-only plans. With 5GB data for £5, 8GB data for £7 and 15GB data for £9, these exclusive deals are not available if you go directly to Lebara’s website.

Until the 30th April 2024, you can get a 50% discount for the first 3 months when you combine this with the KEN3 voucher code at checkout. This will bring the price down to 5GB data for £2.50, 8GB data for £3.50 and 15GB data for £4.50 for the first 3 months. You can also use the 50% discount on Lebara’s standard SIM-only plans.

5GB Plan

In the UK, Lebara is now offering a special SIM-only plan with 5GB of data for £2.50 per month for the first 3 months (then £6 per month). Alongside the 5GB data allowance, you’ll also get 1000 UK minutes, 100 international minutes and unlimited UK texts included.

You’ll need to use KEN3 voucher code at checkout to benefit from 3 months half price.

If you’re using Lebara’s 5GB data plan, it should allow you to browse the web for around one and a half hours per day. Alternatively, you can stream around 1,000 songs online or you can watch 10 hours of standard-definition online video.

8GB Plan

If you’re looking for a plan with more data, Lebara is now offering 8GB of data for £3.50 per month for the first 3 months (then £7 per month). This plan also includes unlimited UK minutes, 100 international minutes and unlimited UK texts.

For the average mobile user, this £7 deal is now Lebara Mobile’s best value plan. According to Ofcom (the UK’s telecommunications regulator), the average mobile user consumed 4.5GB of data per month in 2020. With the continued growth in mobile data usage, this is now likely to be closer to 6-7GB per month on average. For this reason, an 8GB data plan is a good choice for many users.

With the 8GB data allowance, you’ll be able to browse the web for around 3 hours per day. Alternatively, you can stream 1,600 songs online or you can watch 16 hours of standard-definition video (4 hours if you’re streaming in high-definition).

15GB Plan

As an exclusive offer, if you sign up to Lebara’s 15GB data plan through this link, you can get it for a reduced price of just £4.50 per month for the first 3 months (then £9 per month). This is still on a 30-day rolling basis so you’ll still have the flexibility to change your plan at any time.

The 15GB data allowance will allow you to browse the web for around 6 hours per day. Alternatively, you can stream around 3,000 songs or 30 hours of standard-definition video from the internet (or 7 hours if you’re streaming in HD).

Other Plans

Alongside the three new exclusive SIM-only plans, Lebara also continues to offer their normal 30-day rolling plans. Until the 31st March 2023, you can get 3 months half price on all of their plans when you use the KEN3 voucher code at checkout.

This voucher code will allow you to get 20GB data for £5/month for the first 3 months (then £10/month). If you’re looking for Lebara Mobile’s unlimited data plan, this will cost you £12.50/month for the first 3 months (then £25/month).

Lebara Mobile SIM Only Features

4G & 5G Coverage From Vodafone

On Lebara Mobile’s SIM-only deals, you’ll have access to Vodafone’s 4G and 5G networks in the UK. This means you’ll get 99% population coverage on 4G, along with 5G coverage in more than 100 UK towns and cities.

If you’re using Lebara’s 4G network, you can expect an average download speed of more than 20Mbps. Meanwhile, if you’re using a 5G phone in a 5G coverage area, you can expect download speeds that are around five to ten times faster on 5G (around 150-200Mbps on average).

No Contract & No Credit Check

Unlike on many other mobile networks, there’s no need for a contract or credit check when you sign up to Lebara’s 30-day rolling SIM cards. In addition, your monthly bill will be capped by default so you won’t be able to run up unexpected charges by mistake.

If you’d like to use your Lebara Mobile SIM card for something that isn’t included within your plan allowance (e.g. for special rate phone calls), you can top-up your account with some additional Pay As You Go credit.

If you choose one of Lebara Mobile’s 12-month plans, a 12-month commitment period would apply for this. However, all of the exclusive SIM-only deals are available on a 30-day basis with no contract.

Inclusive Roaming in Europe & India

If you’re travelling abroad, you’ll be able to use your Lebara Mobile plan allowances at no extra cost in the EU and India.

If you’re travelling to a European destination, a fair use limit may apply to your data usage when abroad. This will be dependent on your plan.

If you’re travelling to India, there’s a fair usage policy of up to 10GB data, 200 outgoing minutes, 200 incoming minutes and 200 text messages per month.

Inclusive International Calls

You’ll get an inclusive allowance of international minutes on all of Lebara’s SIM-only plans. This will allow you to call 42 international destinations using the international minutes on your plan.

The inclusive international minutes can be used for calling phone numbers in the following countries:

  • Australia
  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Bulgaria
  • Canada
  • China
  • Croatia
  • Cyprus
  • Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • Estonia
  • Finland
  • France
  • Germany
  • Greece
  • Hong Kong
  • Hungary
  • Iceland
  • India
  • Ireland
  • Israel

  • Portugal
  • Republic of Korea
  • Romania
  • Singapore
  • Slovakia
  • Slovenia
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • Thailand
  • Ukraine
  • United States

If you’re calling a phone number in any other country, it won’t be included within your plan. However, you’ll be able to benefit from Lebara Mobile’s low international Pay As You Go rates instead.

Keeping Your Phone Number

If you’re switching from another network to Lebara Mobile, it’s a straightforward process keeping your current phone number.

Start by ordering your new SIM-only plan from the Lebara Mobile website. You can either choose their 8GB for £7 or 15GB for £9 plan. Alternatively, get one of their regular plans with 3 months half price using the KEN3 voucher code.

Once you’ve ordered your new Lebara Mobile SIM card, you can request a PAC Code from your old network. You can get one through your mobile network’s website or app, or by texting PAC to 65075.

When your new Lebara Mobile SIM card arrives in the post, you’ll be able to submit the PAC Code through this page on Lebara’s website. Lebara will then schedule the transfer of your phone number (normally for the next working day) once you’ve completed the form. You’ll also get an extra 5GB of data added to your SIM card once the number transfer is complete.

  • all these various ‘deals’ are little more than inducements to squeeze your credit/debit card details from you.
of course no need for a credit check, since you already give them free access to your bank account.
if you look at the fine print, none of these ‘deal’s are available if you want to pay by voucher.
they do not want people who look after their money. they just want people who are willing to open their e-wallets.
50% discount, double data, that’s how desparate they are to grab your credit/debit card details.
make no mistake, these ‘deals’ are for their benefit, not yours.
capping is not enough of a safety, not reliable.
    some goes for other providers.
what ever happened to pure payg??
