Spusu 5GB For £1 Deal
If you’re looking for a low-cost SIM-only deal with super-competitive pricing, Spusu previously offered 5GB data for just £1 per month in the UK.
This is a one-month rolling plan with no need for a credit check, meaning it’s possible to change or cancel your plan at any time.
After the first 3 months, the price will go up to £4.50 per month. However, even at this final price, you’d be hard-pressed to find another 5GB data plan for less. You’ll benefit from a price freeze at the £4.50 per month level until the end of January 2026 on Spusu, so your monthly price is guaranteed to remain the same until then.
Network | Data | Monthly Cost | |
---|---|---|---|
| 1GB data | £2.90 per month 1 month contract | See deal |
| 16GB data | £3.00 for 3 months, then £8 per month 1 month contract | See deal |
| 20GB data | £6.90 per month 1 month contract | See deal |
Although they’re fairly new to the UK mobile market, Spusu have quickly acquired a reputation for offering competitive SIM-only deals, complete with access to EE’s 4G and 5G network, as well as having great customer support (their customer service agents are available both via phone and on WhatsApp). Across the rest of Europe, where they’re a more established brand, they claim to have more than 500,000 customers.
Before you sign up to this deal, it’s worth bearing the following things in mind:
- You can get a Spusu eSIM for instant delivery & to try it alongside your current SIM. If you have an eSIM-compatible phone, you can choose the ‘eSIM’ option at checkout. This will allow you to download the Spusu eSIM directly onto your phone. In addition, you’ll be able to use a Spusu eSIM alongside your current SIM card with dual-SIM functionality. This makes it an effortless way to test out Spusu’s mobile network before you switch.
- You’ll be able to use up to 3GB data at no extra cost in the EU. With many other networks now charging you extra for European roaming, one of the benefits of Spusu is the fact that you’ll still get EU roaming at no extra cost. On this plan, the EU roaming is subject to a fair use limit of 500 minutes, 500 texts and 3GB data per month.
- The 500 international minutes are only valid for calling EU countries. There’s a full list of inclusive destinations on the Spusu website. If you’re looking to call other countries (such as India, China, the USA and more), this isn’t included and you’ll need to pay extra for it.
- It’s a one-month rolling contract. You’ll be able to cancel your Spusu plan at any time through their online interface, or by transferring your phone number to another network. However, it’s worth remembering that you’ll pay for each calendar month in advance and that you won’t get a refund on your final bill when you cancel. Therefore, when applicable, you should aim to cancel your plan towards the end of the month.
Network & Coverage
On Spusu’s 5GB plan, you’ll get access to 99% population coverage. This is provided by EE’s 4G and 5G network, so you’ll get the same coverage as customers on EE. This includes band 20 (800MHz) coverage for better indoor coverage. Another benefit is that the download speeds are uncapped on Spusu (unlike on many of EE’s SIM-only plans where there is a download speed limit).
If you’d like to check the coverage in your area before you sign up, you can do this by entering your postcode on the Spusu UK website:

Both Wi-Fi Calling and 4G Calling (VoLTE) are available on Spusu UK, as long as you have a compatible device.
Keeping Your Phone Number
If you’re switching to Spusu’s 5GB for £1 deal, there’s the option to either keep your current mobile number, or to get a brand new number.
If you’d like to keep your current phone number, ask your current mobile network to provide you with a PAC Code. You can get one through your mobile network’s website or app, or by texting PAC to 65075. This PAC Code can then be given to Spusu when you order your plan online.
If you’d like to get a brand new phone number, you’ll be able to choose your preferred phone number when you order on the Spusu website. It’s always possible to transfer your phone number at a later date through Spusu’s account area so this can be a good option if you’d like to try it out before transferring your phone number.

Tried this deal as they piggy back onto EE network who have excellent speeds in the areas I visit.
However, the speeds with SPUSU weren’t that great and my Lebara sim was far better
I cancelled within 14 days and got my money back, so the customer service was very good
May have been a glitch.
