Ken is the founder and editor of Ken’s Tech Tips. He has been writing about consumer technology, including mobile phones and home broadband, since 2005. During that time, he has written and published more than 1,000 in-depth guides, responding to more than 5,000 reader questions and comments in the process. He has also reported on the latest developments from a number of industry events such as Mobile World Congress.

Although the website covers every aspect of mobile technology and broadband in the UK, Ken is most excited about the roll-out of full fibre (FTTP) technology, along with 5G mobile networks and eSIM technology. Together with the Internet of Things (IoT) and smart home devices, he believes they’ll transform the way we live and communicate over the next decade.

Ken has a Masters in Physics from Imperial College London, where he specialised in optical communications. At Imperial, his research looked at how we can protect essential telecommunications infrastructure from adverse space weather events such as geometric storms.
