Networks like ASDA Mobile, Lebara Mobile, Talkmobile and VOXI piggyback on Vodafone’s coverage in the UK.
In the UK, it isn’t always necessary to be a Vodafone customer if you want to access Vodafone’s network coverage on your phone. That’s because a number of other mobile networks are also powered by Vodafone’s signal and will give you access to the exact same coverage.
At present, you can access Vodafone’s signal when you’re using a SIM card from ASDA Mobile, Lebara Mobile, Talkmobile and VOXI. All of them piggyback on Vodafone for coverage and will give you access to Vodafone’s 4G & 5G networks.
In this article, we’ll look at the mobile networks that offer coverage from Vodafone. We’ll compare some of the best value deals with Vodafone coverage, before looking at each network in more detail and the features they offer.

SIM Only Plans
Normally, when you go directly to Vodafone’s website, the cheapest available SIM-only deal will cost you £15 per month for 3GB data (on a 24 month contract).
As an alternative, you can save a lot of money by choosing a different SIM-only deal from one of the following providers:
- ASDA Mobile offers a range of one-month rolling Pay As You Go plans from £4 per month.
- Lebara Mobile also offers one-month rolling Pay As You Go plans. You’ll get 3 months half price on all Lebara Mobile plans when you use the KEN3 voucher code at checkout. This makes it possible to get a Lebara Mobile SIM card from just £2.50 per month for 3 months. You can change or cancel your plan at any time.
- Talkmobile offers a competitive range of SIM-only deals from just £4.95 per month. This is Vodafone’s in-house low-cost sub-brand.

Hello Ken. Thanks for your great site, it’s really informative. Can I get some advice please? After my contract with Vodafone finishes in May this year, I’m looking for a Vodafone network deal with an approx 2 GB data which also gives me roaming as I go to France about 3 times a year. What provider would you suggest I try? Many thanks. Morna
Ken replied:
Hi Morna,
Many thanks for your comment. I believe Lebara Mobile is the best network that matches your requirements. They offer 4G & 5G coverage from Vodafone, and there’s inclusive roaming in Europe as well. If you sign up today, you can get 8GB data for £1.99pm for the first 3 months (ends 31st March 2023) Alternatively, there’s 3GB data for £2.50pm (use the KEN3 voucher code to get 3 months half price).
Hope this helps,
Ken

Voxi is a good network (usually strong signal) and has attractive pricing plans, but when they cut the free EU roaming I switched away.
Three network is not as good as Vodafone (usually weaker signal on iPhone), but the pricing offers from three reseller networks are the most attractive

Why isnt Virgin on this list? They use Vodafone
Ken replied:
Hi Ian,
Thanks for your comment. As of this month, Virgin Mobile have started moving their customers over to the O2 network. New Virgin Mobile customers will also get a SIM with coverage from O2.
Hope this helps!

Do vodafone share masts with these network providers?
I was told by vodafone agents that if there are 5 masts in an area 1 will be used by these providers and rest 4 will be dedicated to vodafone customers, is that true?
Ken replied:
Hi there,
They will all use the exact same masts – I believe the Vodafone agent has been making things up!

I think the voxi 30gb for £15 stacks up better than it first appears. For starters it is a subsidiary of Vodafone so no 3rd party issues like you might get with Asda or talkmobile. It includes unlimited social media and streaming so really it’s a gig a day for normal stuff and then unlimited for the stuff that really eats data. And you don’t have to keep getting a new SIM every 3 months like you do to keep the half price Lebara offering.
