Both of these deals will give you access to EE’s 4G & 5G network, which is generally considered to be the best in the UK. You’ll also get 6 months of Apple Music included (worth £10.99pm).

In this article, we’ll look at EE’s latest SIM-only deals, including their best available offers. We’ll also look at EE’s other SIM-only offers, including their unlimited data plans, fixed data plans, and monthly rolling plans.

Best EE SIM Only Deals

In the UK, EE offers a range of 5G SIM-only deals, which are currently available from £18 per month. You’ll be able to get 50GB data for £18, or unlimited data for £27, on these new deals:

These deals come with the following features included:

  • You get 4G and 5G coverage from EE, with download speeds of up to 100Mbps. You’ll get access to 99% population coverage across the UK, with both 4G and 5G coverage from EE. The maximum download speeds on this plan are capped at 100Mbps. However, this shouldn’t impact most users. For comparison, a 100Mbps connection is already much faster than most home broadband connections. You only need 5Mbps to stream HD-quality video (or 25Mbps to stream Ultra HD video).
  • You’ll get 6 months of Apple Music included (worth £10.99 per month). With Apple Music, you’ll be able to stream more than 100 million songs on-demand, across all of your compatible devices (including phones, tablets, laptops, smart speakers and CarPlay). You’ll also be able to stream and download as much as you like from Apple Music without it eating into your data allowance.
  • You’ll get unlimited UK minutes and texts included. This means you’ll be able to call and text to your heart’s content, inside the UK. Please note there’s an optional “Scam Guard” add-on which costs £1 per month extra. We’d recommend turning this off, unless you require the additional service.
  • You can gift spare data to family members on EE. If you have other family members or additional lines on your EE account, you’ll be able to gift your spare data to them (excluding No Frills plans).

You’ll also have 4G Calling and Wi-Fi Calling, providing your handset is compatible with the service.

The main limitation that’s worth being aware of is the fact that European roaming is not included on Essential plans. If you’re on an Essential plan, you’ll need to pay an extra £2.47 per day to use your plan allowances in an EU destination (up to 50GB per month).

Other EE SIM Only Plans

Besides their exclusive SIM-only deals, EE also offers a range of other unlimited data and fixed data plans. These plans come in five different flavours, depending on the features you require:

Plan Type Max Speed Inclusive Roaming Inclusive Extras Notes
No Frills 10Mbps Data gifting is not available
Essential 100Mbps
Essential Plus 100Mbps EU destinations
(up to 50GB per month)
All Rounder No max. speed EU destinations
(up to 50GB per month)
Standard Extras With VIP Connection
Full Works No max. speed EU & Roam Further destinations
(up to 50GB per month)
Premium Extras With VIP Connection

If you select an ‘All Rounder’ plan, you’ll be able to choose one standard Inclusive Extra to go with it. For customers with an iPhone, this can be Apple Music (worth £10.99pm) or Apple TV+ (worth £8.99pm). Alternatively, you can get Apple One for the discounted price of £5pm. Customers with an Android phone can choose between Netflix Standard with Ads (worth £4.99pm) and Google One 2TB (worth £7.99pm).

If you select a ‘Full Works’ plan, you’ll be able to choose one Premium Inclusive Extra. Customers with an iPhone will get Apple One included (worth £18.95pm). Meanwhile, customers with an Android smartphone can choose between TNT Sports on discovery+ (worth £20pm), Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (worth £12.99pm), Netflix Premium (worth £17.99pm), or Google One AI Premium (worth £18.99pm).

The ‘All Rounder’ and ‘Full Works’ plans will also give you access to EE’s 5G Standalone service (5GSA), if you’re using a compatible device. Amongst the benefits of this is a “VIP connection”, which aims to prioritise your service in areas where the network is busy.

On these plans, you’ll be able to cancel at any time, with just one month’s notice. However, you’ll still need to undergo a credit check when signing up.

If you’re looking for a one-month rolling plan, it may also be worth considering the other mobile networks that use EE coverage. In many cases, these will be better value as other networks tend to compete more aggressive in the one-month space.

EE One & EE Family Account Deals

If you’re already an EE customer, there might be different SIM-only deals available to you:

  • EE One: If you’re an EE home broadband customer, you’ll be eligible for their EE One deals. This can allow you to save £20 per month on EE’s unlimited data plans.
  • EE Family Account: If you’re an existing EE mobile customer, you’ll be eligible for their ‘additional line’ deals. This will allow you to save up to £12 per month on EE’s full-price SIM-only plans.

Most of the SIM-only offers listed on this page are only available to customers who are new to EE.

Keeping Your Phone Number

If you’re switching to EE from another UK mobile network, it’s a straightforward process keeping your current phone number.

Start by ordering your new SIM Only deal from EE’s website. Once you’ve done that, you can request a PAC Code from your old network – either using their app or website, or by texting PAC to 65075.

Once you’ve activated your new EE SIM card, you’ll be able to head over to this online form. Here, you’ll be able to submit the PAC Code from your old network. Your phone number transfer will then be scheduled by EE, normally for the next working day.

For a step-by-step guide on how to move your phone number to EE, please select your current mobile network from the drop down menu below:

    Hi Ken
As an existing EE broadband user I requested an unlimted SIM, for £10 per month. Unfortunately, it only applies as a ‘sweetner’. For example, I had to be in the last 3 months of my BB contract, ie renewing

    • Hi Steve,
Thanks for your comment. Do you know when your EE broadband plan was taken out? I believe the ‘unlimited data unlocked’ offer is only available on their new broadband plans, which were introduced some time in October 2023. Notably, these plans are a bit more expensive than their old broadband plans (Fibre, Fibre Plus, Fibre Max, etc) so presumably the pricing of their new broadband plans takes into account the fact you’re probably getting discounted SIM cards from them.
If you’re on one of their older plans, I believe there were different benefits available – something like a 30% discount. However, I’m not sure whether they still offer this, given they’re presumably trying to move people over to the new plans.
