Three Roaming Destinations

In total, there are 71 worldwide destinations where you’re able to use your mobile phone at no extra cost on Three’s Pay As You Go service.

This consists of 49 European destinations (known as Go Roam in Europe), plus 22 destinations further afield (known as Go Roam Around The World).

Go Roam in Europe

If you’re planning a trip to Europe this summer, there are 49 European destinations where you can use your mobile phone at no extra cost on Three Pay As You Go.

The destinations covered in Europe include top holiday hotspots such as Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Portugal, and more. This means whether you’re off to the beach, to watch the Paris Olympics, or to soak in the sights on a city break, you can save money on your trip.

Going back a couple of years, EU roaming was a standard feature on all UK mobile plans. However, many UK mobile networks have reintroduced roaming charges in Europe since Brexit. Depending on your mobile network and plan, it can therefore now cost as much as £2.47 per day extra to use your phone in Europe. This can add an extra £17 to your mobile bill when you spend one week abroad in Europe, or an extra £34 when you spend two weeks abroad.

In these 49 European destinations, you’ll be able to use up to 12GB data per month from your plan at no extra cost. You’ll also be able to use your minutes and texts, both for calling home to the UK and within the country you’re visiting.

Go Roam Around The World

If you’re travelling further afield, there are another 22 destinations where you’re also able to use your mobile phone at no extra cost. These ‘Go Roam Around The World’ destinations include the USA, Australia, Brazil, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, Vietnam, and more.

If you’re travelling outside of Europe, the costs of international roaming will normally increase quite significantly. Often, you’ll need to pay in the region of £7 per day or more to use your mobile phone in these other destinations. This adds up to almost £50 extra for a one-week trip and nearly £100 extra for a two-week trip abroad.
