  • Hi.
I currently have a new contract sim and new phone. IPhone XR with Virgin.
Boxed and ready to go along with the use of contract.
I also have a pay as you go Number with Virgin.
However want to be advised and confident on the best way to do this as I have a pay as you go Virgin contract and want to keep my number and switch it to the new phone. I have also obtained the PAC number.
As customer services aren’t available at this time ( understand due to the Covid 19) and have been on hold for at least 1-2 hours a day please advise on the easiest and best way to complete this quickly. Thanks in advance for your help.

    • Hi Ian,
Thanks for your comment. Usually the best thing to do would be to ask Virgin Mobile Customer Services to do this for you. However, as a workaround, it is also possible to transfer your phone number to another network and then back onto Virgin. You can get a free Pay As You Go SIM card from another network for the purposes of doing this.
      Hope this helps,
      Ken

  • Hi, I have a very old Nokia 6230i mobile phone with a Virgin pay as you go SIM card. I want to transfer this into a Samsung Galaxy J3 so that I can keep my number and use the SIM card on the same basis as before. As the SIM card is too big, so I’m not sure how to do it.

    Can you help?

    Thank you.

I would like to transfer my current Virgin number to a new phone with a new Virgin SIM card. Please advise if and how this can be done.

    Thanks Barbara Colclough

    • Hi Barbara,
Thanks for your comment. The simplest way to do this is just to place your existing Virgin SIM card in the new handset! However, if you need to move the phone number from one SIM card to another, this is something that Virgin Mobile Customer Services should be able to do for you (dial 789 from your Virgin Mobile handset).
