BT TV Features

BT TV Box Pro

All of BT’s television packages now include the BT TV Box Pro. This is BT’s latest and most advanced TV box, allowing you to watch live TV and on-demand content without the need for an aerial.

When you get your BT TV Box Pro, you simply need to plug it in to your TV and connect it to your home Wi-Fi. You’ll then be able to watch all of your free-to-air channels, along with everything else that’s included in your subscription. You can also use apps on your box such as BBC iPlayer, NOW, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and more.

The BT TV Box Pro has full support for Dolby Atmos surround sound, along with 4K HDR content. This makes it perfect for watching football on BT Sport Ultimate and for watching other 4K-ready content.

Pause, Rewind & Record Live TV

With the BT TV Box Pro, you’ll be able to pause, rewind and record live television. Live TV channels can be paused for up to two hours. In addition, there’s space for up to 600 hours of recordings on the box, with the ability to record on up to four channels at the same time.

You can schedule your recordings directly on the BT TV Box Pro. Alternatively, you can schedule them wherever you are using the BT TV app.

Flexible TV Packages

All of BT’s television packages are flexible. This means you can change your TV package from month-to-month, if you like. For instance, you can swap from the Sports package to the Entertainment package when the football season comes to an end.

You can manage your BT TV package through the My BT app. This will also allow you to add and remove monthly add-ons to your BT TV plan.

Switching to BT

If you’re currently using another broadband or TV provider, it’s easy to switch your service to BT.

Start by ordering your new BT TV service from BT’s website. Once you’ve done this, you’ll be given a switchover date for your service (this will typically be in around two weeks time).

In advance of your new service going live, you’ll be sent your BT TV Box Pro, along with a BT Smart Hub for your broadband. You’ll need to plug in both of these devices on the go-live date for your new service.
