Lyca Mobile Features
No Contract & No Credit Check
On Lyca Mobile’s Pay As You Go service, there’s no contract and no need for a credit check. Instead, you’ll just pay on a one-month rolling basis, in the same way you’d pay for other subscriptions like Spotify and Netflix.
Because there’s no contract, you can easily change or cancel your plan at any time. For instance, you can move up to another plan that gives you more data. Alternatively, you can move down to a cheaper plan to save some money. You’ll need to keep the auto-renewal setting switched on if you’d like to benefit from the double data offer.
On Lyca Mobile’s Pay As You Go service, another benefit is that there’s no chance of running up unexpected charges. That’s because your monthly payment is capped by default. If you’d like to make out-of-allowance calls on your SIM card, you’ll need to top-up with some additional Pay As You Go credit.
4G & 5G Coverage From EE
On Lyca Mobile, you’ll have access to 99% population coverage across the UK. This is powered by the EE network. In addition to the 4G coverage, there’s 5G coverage available in more than 1,000 UK towns and cities (as long as you’re using a 5G-ready device).
If you’d like to check the coverage in your area before you order a Lyca Mobile SIM card, you can do this by entering your postcode on Lyca Mobile’s online coverage map.

eSIM
If you’re looking for a faster way to get connected, Lyca Mobile now offers eSIM functionality on all of their Pay As You Go plans.
If you choose the eSIM option when ordering your plan online, there’s no need to wait for a physical SIM card to arrive in the post. Instead, you can just scan a QR code on your eSIM-ready phone. You’ll then be connected and you can start using your plan straight away. This saves you time, and it’s better for the environment.
Lyca Mobile’s eSIM service is compatible with the iPhone 11, the Samsung Galaxy S20, the Google Pixel 3, and later devices. You can see a full list of compatible devices on the Lyca Mobile website. In addition, most eSIM-ready phones will allow you to use dual-SIM with eSIM so you can have two phone numbers on your device at the same time (e.g. both your personal and work phone numbers).
Keeping Your Phone Number
If you’re switching to Lyca Mobile from another UK network, it’s a straightforward process keeping your current number.
To start off, order your new Pay As You Go plan from the Lyca Mobile website. Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to request a PAC Code from your old network. You can get one through your mobile network’s website or app, or by texting PAC to 65075.
Once you’ve activated your new Lyca Mobile plan, you’ll be able to submit your PAC Code through this page. In most cases, your phone number will be moved over the next working day after you submit this form.
For a step-by-step guide on how to transfer your phone number to Lyca Mobile, please select your current mobile network from the drop down menu below:
