In the UK, Vodafone has increased the amount of data included on their 30-day Big Value Bundles. When you order a Vodafone Pay As You Go SIM card, you’ll now get 7GB of data for £10 or 20GB of data for £15. There are also plans available for customers needing even more data.

All of Vodafone’s Big Value Bundles come with unlimited UK minutes and unlimited UK texts, with no need for a contract or credit check:

Vodafone Pay As You Go Features

No Contract & No Credit Check

You can use Vodafone’s Pay As You Go service without the need to sign any contracts. This gives you a lot of flexibility to change your plan as required (e.g. upgrading to a plan with more data or downgrading to a cheaper plan to save money). If required, you can also renew your bundle early to get a fresh allowance of data.

As it’s a Pay As You Go product, there’s also no need for a credit check. This means you can still use it if you’re under-18 or if you don’t want the hassle of going through a credit check for your SIM card. You also won’t be able to run up any unexpected charges as you’ll need to add credit to your SIM card for out-of-allowance charges.

Total Rollover

On Vodafone’s Pay As You Go service, you can roll over your unused data into the following month’s allowance.

To give an example, the £10 bundle normally includes 7GB of data. If you were to use only 4GB of data, the remaining 3GB would rollover into the following month’s allowance. This would give you 10GB data (the normal 7GB data allowance, plus the 3GB of rolled over data).

VeryMe Rewards

As a Vodafone Pay As You Go customer, you’ll have access to VeryMe Rewards. This is available as long as you top-up your SIM card with at least £10 of credit every 6 weeks (this includes any credit used to purchase a bundle).

Through the VeryMe Rewards programme, you can access weekly treats and offers from a range of brands including Costa Coffee, Vue, Candy Kittens, and more. You’ll also get an “Eat Local by VeryMe Rewards” membership (powered by the Gourmet Society), giving you discounts and offers at independent restaurants and cafes across the UK.

European Roaming

If you have a Vodafone Pay As You Go SIM card, you can use your mobile phone at no extra cost in 51 European destinations. This includes your unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and up to 25GB of data each month.

If you’re using a Big Value Bundle that includes 5G coverage, you’ll also be able to access 5G at no extra cost in 240 towns and cities across Germany, Spain, Italy and Ireland.

Pay As You Go Phones

If you’re looking for a new mobile phone, it’s also possible to get the new 30-day bundles when you buy a Vodafone Pay As You Go phone. You can choose from a wide range of handsets including those from Apple, Samsung, Motorola, Xiaomi and more. You can also choose from a range of ‘Like New’ refurbished mobile phones.

Network & Coverage

2G, 3G & 4G Coverage

Vodafone offers 99% population coverage on its 2G, 3G and 4G networks in the UK.

Before signing up for Vodafone Pay As You Go, it’s worth checking to make sure there’s coverage where you live. To do this, enter your postcode on Vodafone’s online coverage map:

Check Vodafone Coverage (vodafone.co.uk) →

You can expect an average download speed of 23-35Mbps on Vodafone’s 4G network. To check the speeds in your area, enter your postcode on Vodafone’s website and then tap on the ‘Data speed info’ button.

5G Coverage

If you choose a £30 or £40 Big Value Bundle, you’ll also be able to access Vodafone’s 5G network in more than 120 UK towns and cities.

On Vodafone’s 5G network, you’ll be able to access an average download speed of around 150-200Mbps on your phone. In some cases, this can even be as high as 1,000Mbps (1Gbps). On 5G, you’ll also benefit from more network capacity and a lower amount of latency.

Keeping Your Phone Number

It’s easy keeping your current phone number when you move to Vodafone.

To transfer your phone number to Vodafone, start by asking your current mobile network to provide you with a PAC Code. You can get one through your mobile network’s website or app, or by texting PAC to 65075.

You can then order your new Pay As You Go SIM card from Vodafone’s website. Once you’ve done that and once you’ve activated your SIM card, you can give your PAC Code to Vodafone through this online form. They’ll then schedule the transfer of your phone number (normally for the next working day).

It isn’t possible to transfer Pay As You Go credit from another mobile network to Vodafone. You should therefore try to use it up before the number transfer takes place.
