Vodafone offers four types of SIM-only deal: Basics, Essentials, Red Extra and Red Entertainment. Find out how the different deals compare.

If you’re looking for a SIM-only deal from Vodafone, there are currently four different types of price plan you’re able to choose from. Your choice of the best value plan will depend on things like the amount of data you require, the length of contract you’d like (30 days or 12 months), international roaming capabilities and whether you want inclusive entertainment with your plan.

For instance, Vodafone’s SIM-only deals start from as little as £6/month if you choose a Vodafone Basics price plan. This will give you unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and an allowance of data on a 12-month contract with UK-only usage.

On the other end of the spectrum, Vodafone’s Red Entertainment SIM-only deals start from £22/month and contain up to 100GB of data. You’ll get inclusive roaming in 77 destinations as well as an inclusive entertainment package such as Amazon Prime Video, Spotify Premium, NOW TV or Sky Sports Mobile TV.

In this article, we’ll compare Vodafone’s SIM-only deals. We’ll discuss the difference between the four types of price plan: Basics, Essentials, Red Extra and Red Entertainment. We’ll also showcase some of the best value SIM-only deals available on Vodafone within different price ranges and within each type of plan.

Keeping Your Phone Number

If you’re switching from another mobile network to a Vodafone SIM-only deal, it’s a straightforward process to keep your existing phone number.

To do so, start by contacting your old mobile network and asking them for a PAC Code. This is a nine-digit code that authorises the transfer of your phone number to Vodafone.

Once you’ve obtained a PAC Code from your current network, order your new SIM card from the Vodafone website (Vodafone Basics or non-Vodafone Basics plans). After your new SIM card arrives in the post, place it inside your mobile phone and then provide the PAC Code to Vodafone. They’ll schedule the transfer of your phone number, normally for the next working day.

For a step-by-step guide on transferring your phone number to Vodafone, please select your current mobile network from the drop-down menu below:
